The uses for Ultrasound are ever expanding within medicine. It is accepted as a non – invasive, cost-effective diagnostic modality. Ultrasound does not cause pain, there is no ionising radiation and is more cost effective for patients compared with CT and MR. Often appointment lengths are also shorter, with no recovery period after the exam, leaving patients to continue with their day after the exam.
